Meet Marieke Haans

Joore has a different approach, and that is something that Marieke clearly sensed during her job interview. “They did not follow a list of standard questions but really wanted to know who I was. The interview was not an assessment to test my knowledge. It just felt good right from the start.”

Marieke’s plan

Marieke started her employment as a working student and the rest is history. “I’ll be a chartered accountant (Dutch: “RA”) very soon. The choice of my education and the pace of progress were mine. It is great to have the opportunity to follow my own professional path. Development is encouraged here but you yourself can decide how and how fast you achieve your goals.”

Going to Willem II together

In her role as audit manager Marieke has close connections with clients of the audit practice. She also supports colleagues. “At the office we have flexible workstations, which is very pleasant. It’s easy to ask colleagues for advice that way. And you learn a lot by listening how colleagues handle things.” Marieke is a supporter of Willem II, just as Joore. “We invite clients to our own skybox for important games, with a dinner before and a small party after the game. We also do so during other games, with clients or colleagues. Those are always relaxed evenings during which you get to know clients and colleagues in a different way. And if Willem II wins, that tops the evening!”
